The IMDG Code, or International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, is a mandatory code established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to ensure the safe transport of dangerous goods by sea. It provides a comprehensive set of regulations covering all aspects of shipping dangerous goods, including classification, packaging, labeling, documentation, stowage, and segregation. The Code is divided into two volumes and a supplement.
