Hääleproduktsiooni refers to the biological and physical processes involved in creating vocal sound. It encompasses the coordinated actions of the respiratory system, the laryngeal apparatus (voice box), and the vocal tract. The process begins with the lungs, which provide the airflow necessary for phonation. This airflow is then regulated by the diaphragm and intercostal muscles.

The core of hääleproduktsiooni occurs in the larynx, specifically with the vocal folds. As air from the lungs passes through the glottis, the vocal folds vibrate, creating a buzzing sound.
