HormozdHormizd
Hormizd was a title used by several Sasanian kings of Persia. The most prominent among them was Hormizd I, who ruled from 272 to 273 CE. He was the son of Shapur I and the father of Bahram I. Hormizd I is known for his brief reign and his military campaigns. He is also credited with founding the city of Hormizd-Ardashir, which later became known as Ahvaz.
Another significant ruler to bear the title was Hormizd II, who reigned from 302 to 309 CE.

The title Hormizd itself is believed to be derived from the Zoroastrian deity Ahura Mazda, signifying divine
