Homogeenistä

Homogeenistä is a Finnish word that translates to "homogeneous" in English. It describes something that is uniform in composition or character throughout. This means that all parts of a homogeneous substance or system are the same and indistinguishable from each other. For example, a homogeneous mixture is one where the components are evenly distributed, such as saltwater where the salt is dissolved completely into the water. You cannot see separate particles of salt.

This contrasts with heterogeneous substances, which have visibly different components or properties in different parts. For instance, a rock with different colored veins would be heterogeneous.
