Hoffelljökull

Hoffelljökull is an outlet glacier of the larger Vatnajökull ice cap in southeastern Iceland. It flows from the main ice cap and descends towards the coastal plain. The glacier is situated in the municipality of Hornafjörður.

The landscape around Hoffelljökull is characterized by its rugged glacial terrain, with moraines and glacial meltwater streams being prominent features. Due to its location in a geologically active region, the area has been shaped by volcanic activity and glacial erosion over millennia.
