Hlýðinnhlýðni
Hlýðinnhlýðni is a term of Old Norse origin that describes a specific type of familial obligation or duty. It is not a commonly used word in modern Icelandic, but its meaning can be understood through its components. "Hlýðinn" relates to obedience and willingness to listen, while "hlýðni" also carries the sense of heeding or obeying.
