Hierarchicalwithin

Hierarchicalwithin is a concept used to describe structures in which a primary hierarchy contains internal hierarchies at selected nodes. In this paradigm, each unit of the top-level hierarchy can host its own sub-hierarchy, creating multiple levels of nesting that operate within the boundaries of the parent node. The term stresses locality of hierarchical organization: sub-hierarchies are contextually defined by their parent and by the domain rules that apply inside each sub-hierarchy.
