The assessment of dyspnea typically involves a thorough medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests. These tests might include pulmonary function tests, chest X-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work to identify the root cause. Treatment strategies are highly dependent on the underlying condition and aim to alleviate the symptom and address its cause.
