Heidekreis
Heidekreis is a district in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located in the Lüneburg Heath (Lüneburger Heide) region, which gives the district its name. The administrative seat of Heidekreis is the town of Bad Fallingbostel. Other significant towns within the district include Walsrode, Soltau, and Schneverdingen. The district was formed in 1977 through the merger of the former districts of Fallingbostel and Soltau.
