Halsnæs

Halsnæs is a municipality located in the northern part of the Capital Region of Denmark, Zealand. It was established on January 1, 2007, through the merger of the former municipalities of Frederiksværk and Hundested, along with the parish of Vinderød. The municipality covers an area of approximately 120 square kilometers and has a population of around 31,000 residents.

The landscape of Halsnæs is characterized by its varied coastal scenery, including sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, and sheltered bays. The area is known for its natural beauty, with significant portions designated as protected areas. The Arresø, Denmark's largest lake, is partly situated within Halsnæs municipality.
