Grímnismál
Grímnismál is one of the Poetic Edda poems, a collection of Old Norse heroic and mythological songs. It is found in the Icelandic manuscript Codex Regius. The poem describes the god Odin, disguised as the wanderer Grímnir, being tormented by King Geirröd. Geirröd's sons, Agnar and Geirröd, are made to pour water on Odin, who is bound between two fires. Odin, angered by this mistreatment, vows revenge.
