Gravitatiefelden

Gravitatiefelden is a term that refers to the region of space surrounding an object with mass where its gravitational influence can be detected. This influence is what causes other objects with mass to be attracted towards it. The strength of a gravitatiefeld decreases with distance from the central mass. At any point within a gravitatiefeld, a test mass would experience a force pulling it towards the source of the field.

The concept of a gravitatiefeld was developed to explain gravitational phenomena without invoking the idea of instantaneous action at a distance.
