Gprótein
Gprótein is a term that appears to be a misspelling or a less common variant of "G protein." G proteins, also known as guanine nucleotide-binding proteins, are a family of proteins found in all cells that act as molecular switches, turning on or off other proteins that make up a signal-transduction pathway. They are involved in transmitting signals from a variety of stimuli outside a cell to the inside of the cell. When a signaling molecule binds to a cell surface receptor, the receptor activates a specific G protein. The activated G protein then triggers a cascade of downstream events, often leading to a cellular response. This process is crucial for a wide range of cellular functions, including cell growth, differentiation, and response to hormones and neurotransmitters. There are many different types of G proteins, each with specific roles in cellular signaling.
