Geofyytteihin refers to a term used in meteorology to describe the instance when the dew point temperature equals the air temperature. This phenomenon occurs when there is an equilibrium in the atmospheric humidity, resulting from an atmospheric temperature in close proximity to the dew point. Upon reaching this temperature balance, any excess moisture in the air condenses into dew, frost, or even precipitation.

This process frequently occurs towards the end of summer or at the start of autumn. Typically, mountainous regions and valleys tend to be more susceptible to the formation of dew or frost as the night air cools rapidly, decreasing the ambient air temperature until it approximates the dew point.
