GalleMatara
GalleMatara is a proposed coastal highway project in Sri Lanka connecting the cities of Galle and Matara. The primary objective of this infrastructure development is to enhance transportation efficiency and connectivity along the southern coast of the island. Currently, the existing road network between Galle and Matara experiences significant traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours and tourist seasons. The GalleMatara highway is envisioned to alleviate this by providing a faster and more direct route.
The project is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy, facilitating trade and tourism
