Galaksitutkimus
Galaksitutkimus, or galaxy research, is the scientific study of galaxies, which are vast systems of stars, stellar remnants, interstellar gas, dust, and dark matter bound together by gravity. Astronomers observe and analyze galaxies to understand their formation, evolution, structure, composition, and distribution in the universe. This field of study employs a variety of observational techniques, including optical telescopes, radio telescopes, X-ray observatories, and space-based telescopes that can observe wavelengths not easily accessible from Earth's surface.
