Félkörívek

Félkörívek, meaning "semicircles" in Hungarian, refers to a geometric shape. A semicircle is precisely half of a circle. It is formed by cutting a circle with a straight line that passes through its center, known as the diameter. The boundary of a semicircle consists of the curved arc of the original circle and the diameter.

The area of a semicircle is half the area of the full circle from which it is derived. If the radius of the circle is denoted by 'r', the area of the full circle is πr². Therefore, the area of a semicircle is (1/2)πr². Similarly, the perimeter of a semicircle includes the length of the arc and the length of the diameter. Adding the diameter (2r) to the arc length gives the total perimeter of the semicircle: πr + 2r, which can also be expressed as r(π + 2).
