Fázisegyensúlyt is a Hungarian term that translates to "phase equilibrium" in English. It refers to the condition in a physical system where multiple phases (such as solid, liquid, or gas) coexist in a stable state without any net change in their relative amounts. This equilibrium is achieved when the rates of transition between phases are equal. For example, at the melting point of ice at standard atmospheric pressure, ice (solid phase) and water (liquid phase) are in phase equilibrium because the rate at which ice melts into water is equal to the rate at which water freezes into ice. Similarly, at the boiling point, liquid and gas phases are in equilibrium.
