Funktsioonilt

Funktsioonilt is the elative case form of the Estonian noun funktsioon (function). In Estonian grammar, the elative case marks origin, source, or starting point, and funktsioonilt is used to mean “from the function” or “based on the function” depending on the context.

The elative form is created by attaching the suffix -lt to the noun stem funktsioon. In technical language, funktsioonilt is used to indicate that something originates from, or is determined by, a particular function. For example, phrases such as funktsioonilt lähtuvad andmed mean data originating from the function, and funktsioonilt sõltuvad väärtused refer to values that depend on the function.

In practice, funktsioonilt appears in mathematical, statistical, and computational contexts when describing dependencies, derivations, or sources related to a specific function. The exact interpretation depends on the surrounding verbs and nouns, but the core idea is that the function provides the origin or basis for the statement.
