Fungiproduced is an adjective used in biology and industry to describe materials, compounds, or products that are produced by fungi through their metabolic processes. The term emphasizes fungal origin, as opposed to substances synthesized chemically or by other organisms.

In nature, fungi generate a broad array of compounds, including primary metabolites such as ethanol and organic acids, and secondary metabolites with ecological roles such as antibiotics, pigments, and mycotoxins. Many medically important substances are fungiproduced, notably penicillin from Penicillium species; cephalosporins from Acremonium chrysogenum; and immunosuppressants like cyclosporine from Tolypocladium inflatum.

Industrial fermentation often relies on fungiproduced enzymes, such as cellulases, amylases, and proteases, as well as organic acids like citric acid produced by Aspergillus niger. Fungi are also used in food production, for example koji cultures (Aspergillus oryzae) in soy sauce and sake, and Rhizopus oligosporus in tempeh.

In scholarly usage, fungiproduced is employed to attribute the origin of a compound to fungal biosynthesis, distinguishing it from substances produced by bacteria, plants, or chemical synthesis.
