Fotoniliste

Fotoniliste is a term encountered in discussions of photon-based experiments and some non-English literature. It is not a formally standardized term in mainstream physics, and its usage varies by language and context. In practice, researchers may refer to similar concepts as photon lists, time-tagged event lists, or photon catalogs.

A fotoniliste refers to a data set or database that records information about individual photons detected or simulated in an optical experiment. Typical entries include time stamps of detection, estimated wavelength or energy, polarization state, spatial mode or detector coordinate, and basic metadata such as the detector channel or experimental run. The purpose of such a list is to enable post-processing analyses that depend on the temporal or spectral structure of the photon field.

In experimental quantum optics and quantum information, photon lists support a range of analyses, including second-order correlation measurements, photon-number statistics, and quantum state tomography.
