Forbruksavtale is a Norwegian term that translates to "consumer agreement" or "consumer contract." It refers to any agreement where a consumer purchases goods or services from a business for personal use. These agreements are governed by consumer protection laws in Norway, primarily the Norwegian Consumer Contracts Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven), which establishes rules for the rights and obligations of both consumers and businesses in such transactions.

Key aspects of a forbruksavtale include consumer rights such as the right to receive goods or services that are of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose. If the goods or services are defective or do not meet the agreed-upon terms, consumers have rights to remedies, which can include repair, replacement, price reduction, or cancellation of the contract.
