Fluorimetriska is a term derived from fluorimetry, a technique used to measure the fluorescence of a sample. Fluorescence is the emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation. In fluorimetry, a sample is excited by a light source at a specific wavelength, and the emitted light at a different wavelength is then detected and quantified. This emitted light is known as fluorescence.
