Flottörnålar
Flottörnålar, often referred to as float needles or needle valves, are critical components within a carburetor's fuel system. Their primary function is to regulate the fuel level in the float bowl. The needle is attached to a float, which rises and falls with the fuel level. When the fuel reaches a predetermined height, the float lifts the needle, seating it against a matching valve seat. This seals the fuel inlet, preventing further fuel from entering the bowl and causing an overflow. Conversely, as the engine consumes fuel and the level in the bowl drops, the float descends, lifting the needle off its seat and allowing fuel to flow in again.
The precise calibration and condition of the flottörnål are essential for proper engine operation. If the needle
