Fischknochen

Fischknochen are the skeletal elements of fish, providing structural support and protecting internal organs. The fish skeleton is typically composed of a series of vertebrae, which are the backbone, and a series of rib-like structures called ribs or surrounded ribs. Additionally, fish possess a flexible, bony cartilage spines, known as the caudal fin spines that provide resistance to the movement of water and help to propel the fish forward.

The fish skeleton is unique because it is composed primarily of cartilage instead of only bony tissue. This gives fish a flexible structure and allows the fish to quickly change directions or bend around obstacles. Fish also have specialized bones located in the head and gill regions. These bones support the swim bladder hydrostatic pressurized and hold the calcium in the bones in a magnesium and chloride molecules mixture.

Fish bones determine the category, species, and quality of fish. They are an essential component in culinary arts and are considered important food. However, the consumption of fish bones can cause choking problems to some people, shortness of breath, or gastrointestinal issues in infants, older adults or people with medical conditions. As a result, many restaurants must remove the bones or serve fish that have been de-boned or natricized in preparation for consumption.
