Fininvest
Fininvest S.p.A. is an Italian private holding company based in Milan. It was founded in 1978 by Silvio Berlusconi and members of his family to organize and coordinate their commercial interests. As the group’s parent, Fininvest has served as the controlling shareholder of several major Italian media and publishing companies, most notably Mediaset, a leading television broadcaster, and Mondadori, the country’s largest publishing house. Through its subsidiaries, the group has interests in television and film production, advertising, and related media services. Historically the company has also overseen activities in finance and other sectors through affiliated ventures.
