Fibriinivõrgustik

Fibriinivõrgustik refers to the network of fibrin proteins that forms during blood clotting. When a blood vessel is injured, a cascade of enzymatic reactions is triggered, culminating in the conversion of soluble fibrinogen into insoluble fibrin. These fibrin strands then polymerize and aggregate, creating a mesh-like structure. This fibrin mesh traps blood cells, such as platelets and red blood cells, forming a blood clot. The primary function of the fibriinivõrgustik is to stop bleeding by sealing the wound and preventing further blood loss. It provides a stable scaffold for tissue repair and regeneration to begin. The process of clot formation and dissolution, known as hemostasis and fibrinolysis respectively, involves a delicate balance of procoagulant and anticoagulant factors.
