FhaCFhaB

FhaCFhaB is an international consortium dedicated to advancing computational approaches in human biomedical research. The acronym stands for Federation of Hybrid Advanced Computational Human Biomedical research. It was founded in 2018 in Geneva by a coalition of universities, research institutes, and technology companies that sought to combine expertise in data science, genomics, and clinical medicine. The primary aim of FhaCFhaB is to foster multidisciplinary collaboration that accelerates the discovery of personalized therapies and improves predictive modeling of disease progression.

The organization is structured around an executive board, a scientific advisory committee, and several working groups focused on areas such as genomics, proteomics, drug discovery, and health informatics. Membership is open to academic institutions, government agencies, and industry partners from more than 30 countries. FhaCFhaB regularly publishes joint research findings, hosts annual symposiums, and provides funding opportunities for early-career researchers. A notable project undertaken by the consortium is the "AI-Driven Drug Repurposing Platform," which uses machine learning to identify potential new uses for existing medications.

Since its inception, FhaCFhaB has contributed to the development of several open-source bioinformatics tools and has been cited in over 500 peer-reviewed publications. The consortium continues to expand its network and remains a leading force in integrating computational science with biomedical innovation.
