Fertigungsmaße

Fertigungsmaße, often translated as manufacturing dimensions or production dimensions, refer to the specific sizes, shapes, and tolerances required for parts to be manufactured. These are not the theoretical or ideal dimensions of a design but rather the practical specifications that a manufacturing process can reliably achieve. They are crucial for ensuring that a manufactured part conforms to the intended design and functions correctly.

The concept of Fertigungsmaße encompasses several key elements. Firstly, it includes the nominal dimensions, which are the target values for length, width, diameter, etc. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, it involves tolerances. Tolerances define the acceptable range of variation from the nominal dimension.
