Farsund

Farsund is a municipality and the town of the same name in Agder county, Norway. It is situated on the Lista peninsula along the Skagerrak coast in the southern part of the country. The town of Farsund is the administrative centre of the municipality, which also includes rural areas and coastal settlements.

The landscape combines coastal stretches, islands and inland valleys. The Lista peninsula is known for its coastal scenery, beaches and nature reserves; Lista Lighthouse marks the tip of the peninsula and is a notable landmark and tourist attraction.

The local economy centers on maritime industries, fishing, shipping, services and small-scale industry, with tourism playing a seasonal role. The harbour in Farsund handles fishing and commercial traffic, and road connections link the municipality with neighbouring towns.
