Farbrezeptoren
Farbrezeptoren, also known as cone cells, are photoreceptor cells in the retina of the eye responsible for color vision. They are concentrated in the fovea, the central part of the retina, and require bright light to function effectively. Humans typically have three types of farbrezeptoren, each sensitive to different wavelengths of light: red, green, and blue. These sensitivities correspond to short, medium, and long wavelengths respectively.
The visual information processed by the farbrezeptoren is transmitted to the brain via the optic nerve. The
Variations in the number, type, or function of farbrezeptoren can lead to color vision deficiencies, commonly
