Fagocytujícími

Fagocytujícími is the instrumental plural form of the Czech word "fagocytující," which translates to "phagocytosing" in English. This term describes the process by which certain cells, known as phagocytes, engulf and internalize foreign particles, pathogens, or cellular debris. This cellular eating is a crucial component of the immune system, serving to clear infections and maintain tissue homeostasis. Phagocytes, such as macrophages and neutrophils, are specialized white blood cells that actively seek out and consume these unwanted substances. The process involves the extension of pseudopods, which surround and enclose the target particle within a vesicle called a phagosome. This phagosome then fuses with lysosomes, which contain enzymes that break down and digest the engulfed material. The term "fagocytujícími" would be used in a sentence to describe the actions of multiple phagocytic cells, for instance, "The tissue was being cleared by fagocytujícími immune cells." It highlights the active and engulfing nature of these cellular defenders.
