Faasivahetuste

Faasivahetuste refers to phase transitions in physics, which are physical processes where a substance changes from one state (or phase) to another. Common examples of phases include solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. These transitions occur when external conditions like temperature or pressure are altered, causing the substance's internal energy and molecular arrangement to change.

The most well-known faasivahetuste include melting (solid to liquid), freezing (liquid to solid), boiling or vaporization (liquid to gas), condensation (gas to liquid), sublimation (solid to gas), and deposition (gas to solid). Each transition happens at a specific temperature and pressure, known as the transition point. For instance, water melts at 0 degrees Celsius and boils at 100 degrees Celsius at standard atmospheric pressure.
