FNmedlemsland

FNmedlemsland is a term in Swedish that translates to "UN member state." It refers to any country that has been admitted to membership in the United Nations. Membership in the UN is open to all "peace-loving states" that accept the obligations contained in the UN Charter and are able and willing to carry out these obligations. Currently, there are 193 member states in the United Nations.

The process for becoming a member state involves a recommendation by the Security Council and approval by a two-thirds majority vote in the General Assembly. Member states are entitled to a seat in the General Assembly, where they can vote on various resolutions and participate in debates on global issues.
