FMradiolähetys
FMradiolähetys refers to the transmission of audio signals using frequency modulation on the FM band. This broadcasting method is widely used for radio stations worldwide due to its superior sound quality compared to amplitude modulation (AM). FM radio works by varying the frequency of a carrier wave in accordance with the audio signal. This frequency variation is less susceptible to static and interference, resulting in clearer reception. The standard FM broadcast band typically ranges from 88 to 108 megahertz (MHz) in most regions, though variations exist. FM transmitters generate the modulated signal, which is then broadcast through an antenna. Receivers, such as car radios or home stereo systems, capture these radio waves and demodulate the signal to reproduce the original audio. The development of FM radio by Edwin Armstrong in the early 20th century revolutionized audio broadcasting, making it the primary method for music and talk radio for many decades. Despite the rise of digital audio and streaming services, FM radio remains a significant medium for information and entertainment.
