EuroMünze
EuroMünze is a term used to refer to euro coins. The euro is the official currency of 19 of the 27 member states of the European Union. The euro was introduced as a non-physical form of currency in 1999 and as physical coins and banknotes in 2002. Euro coins are issued by individual member states and feature a common European side and a national side specific to the issuing country. The common side depicts a map of Europe. The national sides vary, showcasing symbols or figures significant to each country's history or culture. Euro coins come in eight denominations: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cents, and 1 and 2 euros. The production and circulation of euro coins are managed by the respective national central banks. While the design of the common side is standardized, the national sides are unique to each member state, contributing to the rich diversity within the Eurozone. The design of the national sides can be changed every 10 years if the member state wishes to do so.
