Eszlelés, or perception in Hungarian, refers to the process by which the human brain interprets sensory information received from the environment. It is a fundamental cognitive function that allows individuals to experience and understand the world around them. The process involves the detection of stimuli by sensory organs—such as the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin—followed by the transmission of neural signals to the brain, where they are processed and interpreted.

Perception is influenced by both external stimuli and internal factors, including prior experiences, expectations, and cognitive biases. For example, visual perception relies on the eyes capturing light and converting it into electrical signals, which are then sent to the occipital lobe of the brain for processing. Similarly, auditory perception involves sound waves being detected by the ears and translated into neural signals interpreted by the temporal lobe.

Factors such as attention, context, and even cultural background can shape how individuals perceive the same stimulus differently.
