Erundatiivse

Erundatiivse is a term used in Estonian linguistic description. It is the genitive singular form of the adjective erundatiivne, which denotes a relation to the erundatiiv, or gerund, in Estonian grammar. The erundatiiv itself is a non-finite verbal form that functions in a noun-like way to refer to an action or event.

In descriptive grammar, erundatiiv is studied alongside other non-finite forms such as the infinitive and participles. It is used to describe or discuss verbal actions in a nominal sense, and it can form part of larger phonological and syntactic patterns found in Estonian. The adjective erundatiivne, and by extension its genitive singular erundatiivse, is employed when labeling or describing properties of gerundive constructions or related phenomena.
