Entidades

Entidades is the plural of entidad in Spanish, and in general usage refers to things that have a distinct and recognizable existence within a particular domain. An entity can be concrete, such as a person or a building, or abstract, such as a value, a concept, or a legal right. What counts as an entity depends on the context and the criteria of identity used.

In philosophy and ontology, entities are objects that bear identity conditions and persistence through change. They can be material or conceptual, and debates focus on what constitutes existence, essence, and the boundaries between entities and properties.

In information systems and data modeling, an entity is any object about which data are stored. An entity type defines a class of objects (for example, Customer) with attributes (name, id, address) and a unique key to distinguish instances. Entities relate to one another through relationships, and modeling these relationships is central to database design and knowledge graphs.

In law and business, an entity often denotes a legally recognized unit with rights and obligations, such as a corporation, foundation, or government agency. Such entities may act through agents and hold liability independent of the people who constitute them, a concept known as legal personality.

In linguistics and information extraction, entities are referents that can be named or described, and are central to tasks like coreference resolution, entity linking, and semantic annotation.
