Energiaülekanded, often translated as energy transfers, refers to the process by which energy moves from one place, object, or system to another. This fundamental concept is central to understanding how the universe functions, from the smallest atomic interactions to the largest celestial phenomena. Energy itself exists in various forms, such as kinetic energy (energy of motion), potential energy (stored energy), thermal energy (heat), chemical energy, electrical energy, and radiant energy (light).

The transfer of energy occurs through several primary mechanisms. Conduction is the transfer of heat through direct contact, typically in solids. Convection involves the movement of heat through the circulation of fluids (liquids or gases), where warmer, less dense material rises and cooler, denser material sinks. Radiation is the transfer of energy through electromagnetic waves, such as light or infrared radiation, and does not require a medium. In mechanical systems, energy can be transferred through work done by forces.

In physics, the principle of conservation of energy states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another or transferred from one system to another. Understanding these transfers is crucial in fields like thermodynamics, where it explains the behavior of heat engines and refrigeration cycles, and in electrical engineering, where it describes the flow of power. Everyday examples include the sun transferring radiant energy to Earth, a stove transferring thermal energy to a pot of water, or a battery transferring chemical energy into electrical energy.
