Embryotoxins
Embryotoxins are a group of proteins produced by the *Embryosac-specific protein 1* gene, also known as *Eph-ephrin signaling* in a developmental context. These proteins play a critical role in early embryonic development, particularly in the formation of the central nervous system and other vital organs. They are involved in cell-cell signaling pathways that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration.
Specifically, embryotoxins are part of the ephrin family of ligands, which bind to Eph receptor tyrosine kinases.
