Elämäni

Elämäni is the Finnish phrase meaning "my life." It is formed by combining the noun elämä ("life") with the first-person possessive suffix -ni, which indicates ownership by the speaker. The result is typically used as a stand-alone expression meaning the speaker’s own life, or as part of compound phrases such as elämäni tarina ("the story of my life") or elämäni vaiheet ("the stages of my life"). In ordinary Finnish, the form functions as a noun and agrees with surrounding words in number and case.

In Finnish usage, elämäni is common in personal reflection, memoirs, and autobiographical contexts. It is also widely used as a title or subtitle in books, articles, songs, and films to signal a first-person perspective. Because it is not a fixed proper noun, its capitalization follows ordinary Finnish orthography when not used as a title.
