Elektrodinamikas

Elektrodinamikas is the branch of physics that studies the relationship between electricity, magnetism, and light. It explores how electric charges and currents produce electromagnetic fields and how these fields, in turn, affect the motion of charges and currents. The fundamental theory of elektrodinamikas is described by Maxwell's equations, a set of four differential equations that unify electricity and magnetism. These equations show that changing electric fields create magnetic fields, and changing magnetic fields create electric fields, leading to the concept of electromagnetic waves.

Light is understood as a form of electromagnetic radiation, and its behavior, such as reflection, refraction, and diffraction, is explained by elektrodinamikas. The theory also encompasses phenomena like the interaction of charged particles with electromagnetic fields, such as the force exerted on a moving charge in a magnetic field (the Lorentz force). Applications of elektrodinamikas are widespread, forming the basis for technologies such as electric generators, motors, radio and television broadcasting, radar, and optical devices. It is a cornerstone of classical physics and provides the foundation for understanding many natural phenomena.
