Eindögum
Eindögum, also known as *Eindögu* in some regional dialects, refers to a traditional Icelandic custom observed during the Christmas season, particularly around the 12th night of Christmas, known as *Jólakvöldin*. The term originates from the Old Norse phrase *eindr jól*, meaning "end of Yule," marking the conclusion of the Yule festivities that began on Christmas Eve.
The practice involves a communal gathering where families and friends share stories, songs, and lighthearted entertainment.
Eindögum is deeply rooted in Icelandic folklore and reflects the country’s emphasis on oral tradition and community.
