ESSR
ESSR stands for the European Social Survey Round. It is a cross-national survey that takes place every two years across Europe. The ESSR aims to collect data on attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of diverse populations. It covers a wide range of topics including political attitudes, social values, media usage, and trust in institutions. The survey is designed to be comparable across different countries and over time, allowing researchers to study social change and investigate the causes and consequences of these changes. The data collected by the ESSR is made publicly available to researchers and the general public, contributing to a better understanding of European societies. Participation in the ESSR involves rigorous sampling methods and a standardized questionnaire to ensure data quality and comparability. The project is funded by national funding agencies and the European Commission.
