EMtypes
EMtypes is a typology developed by Dr. David Keirsey, which categorizes individuals based on their personality traits and preferences. The acronym "EM" stands for Extraversion and Introversion, which are the two primary dimensions of personality. Keirsey's typology further divides these dimensions into four types, resulting in eight distinct personality types.
The four Extraverted types are:
1. Artisans (ENTP and ENTP) - Innovative, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
2. Guardians (ENTJ and INTJ) - Principled, purposeful, and strategic.
3. Idealists (INFP and ENFP) - Creative, passionate, and empathetic.
4. Rationals (INFJ and ENFJ) - Insightful, perceptive, and empathetic.
The four Introverted types are:
1. Loyalists (ESTP and ISTP) - Practical, adaptable, and spontaneous.
2. Protectors (ESFP and ISFP) - Adaptable, expressive, and spontaneous.
3. Defenders (ESTJ and ISTJ) - Responsible, reliable, and practical.
4. Analysts (ESFJ and ISFJ) - Perceptive, insightful, and empathetic.
Keirsey's EMtypes provide a framework for understanding and appreciating the diversity of human personality. However, it's
