EMEPn

EMEPn refers to the European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme's nitrogen emissions database. This program, overseen by the Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution (CLRTAP), collects and reports data on air pollution across Europe. The EMEPn database specifically tracks anthropogenic emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and ammonia (NH3), which are key contributors to air quality issues such as acidification, eutrophication, and the formation of secondary particulate matter.

The data within EMEPn is crucial for understanding the sources and trends of nitrogen emissions in participating countries. It is compiled through national inventories submitted by member countries, following standardized methodologies.
