Dátumom
Dátumom is the first-person possessive form of the Hungarian noun dátum, meaning “my date.” The base word dátum refers to a calendar date or a specified day for an event. By attaching the 1st person singular possessive suffix -om, the compound dátumom signals that the date belongs to or is associated with the speaker.
In use, dátumom typically appears within a larger phrase such as a noun phrase or a clause.
Morphologically, dátumom is formed by adding the possessive suffix -om to the stem dátum. This illustrates Hungarian’s
- A dátumom július 24. (My date is July 24.)
- Elfelejtettem a dátumomat. (I forgot my date/appointment date.)
- A születési dátumom 1990. március 5. (My birth date is March 5, 1990.)
