In practice, the more common pattern is to state the date directly (for example, 2025-06-30-ig or 2025. június 30-ig érvényes), while dátumig may be used within a larger phrase such as “dátumig terjedő határidő” to describe a deadline that extends to a specified date. It is most frequent in formal notices, agreements, and policy texts, and its meaning is close to the English “until the date” or “by the date.”
