Dvooubovice

Dvooubovice is a village and part of a municipality in the Varnsdorf District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. The village is situated along the LW River, approximately 10 kilometers northwest of the regional capital city of Varnsdorf.

Geographically, Dvooubovice is located within the Őstkrajina region of the Czech Republic, characterized by rolling hills, forested areas, and scenic farmland. The village's terrain and soil conditions support the cultivation of crops such as rye, wheat, and sunflowers, which are common in the region.

Historically, Dvooubovice has been a part of various administrative districts, including the kingdom of Bohemia, the Empire of Austria, and Czechoslovakia. Following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the Czech Republic became an independent state, and Dvooubovice has been a part of the new country.

According to the 2001 census, the village had a population of 51 residents, living in 22 households. The majority of the inhabitants engage in farming and related activities, supplemented by foresters and skilled laborers. In recent years, the village has seen a slight increase in population due to new residents attracted by agricultural land and a relatively remote living environment.

Today, Dvooubovice is an unassuming rural village, connected to more populous areas via local roads and the national rail network. The village maintains a minimalist public infrastructure, including limited access to basic services. Efforts to preserve the historical architecture and conservative ambiance found in Dvooubovice village are primarily carried out through active community engagement.
